History

My name is Graeme Hopkins and my wife Michelle and I started up Groundcover Landscaping Ltd in 2004. We are a Hamilton-based company and also service the surrounding Waikato towns and districts.

I have worked in the landscaping industry for 13 years in both the UK and in New Zealand, and have been involved in a huge variety of different landscaping jobs.

When we first started up Groundcover Landscaping I was doing predominantly landscape construction. In 2006 I employed my first staff member. He decided to move to Australia 18 months later, so in 2008 I employed Paul Ayson, a qualified landscape designer with 10 years experience.

Having a qualified landscape designer working for us has meant we can now offer a design service to our clients. This means that with one phone call, our clients can have the design and implementation of their garden or outdoor area taken care of.

Groundcover Landscaping is small enough to offer personalised attention – where the clients see the company owner working on their property. And athough we are a small company, we still have the resources available to meet and exceed our clients’ needs and expectations. We have extra skilled and specially selected contractors on hand to help out if the job requires it.
