A recent project

Low maintenance gardens are hugely popular these days - it's certainly what we get asked for more than anything else. The owner of this townhouse garden spends a lot of time with her horse, so she had good reason to request a garden that would be easy to keep looking neat and tidy without taking up too much time.

Pictured above is the spa pool - or what was left of it! Our client's dog had taken a liking to it and left it in a bit of a state. Needless to say she wanted it removed completely!

The result - a usable, functional outdoor space with extra built-in seating. There's still a bit of planting to be completed along the fence-line, but it's a huge improvement!

What an awesome space it is now. The larger pavers give it a contemporary look and match in nicely with the dark grout on the bricks of the house. And there's so much more space now that the spa and decking are gone.

We also did a bit of work at the front of the house, clearing out the overgrown plants. As you can see the letterbox was disguised as a shrub!

Decorative pebble or riverstone is a great alternative to garden beds if you want to keep everything neat and tidy.

The side gate wasn't that easy to access...

It's now much easier to get down the side of the house, and extremely low maintenance! Schist stepping stones are a more natural-looking alternative to large square pavers, and look great in this situation.
Our client is rapt with the results - she loves her new improved garden area.
