MANUKA

Also known as Tea Tree, Manuka or leptospermum scoparium is fast growing, flowering between September and June. Sooty mould can be a bit of problem, but is easy to get rid of with conqueror oil from your gardening store. Manuka makes a great addition to your garden with its delicate foliage and masses of white flowers, which bees love, and it looks great underplanted with grasses. Manuka will tolerate both wet and dry conditions. It's fine in windy spots, but make sure it gets a lot of light, as it won't grow well in shade.
Apparently the name Tea Tree came about because Captain Cook used the leaves to make a 'tea' drink
