There are two types of scleranthus: uniflorus and biflorus; we prefer biflorus as it's a more vivid green, and denser, whereas uniflorus is a more yellow-green colour. A lot of people think scleranthus is a moss, but mosses prefer shade, and scleranthus likes full sun. It looks spectacular planted in amongst rocks, and looks great in a Japanese style garden. Sometimes scleranthus will rot from getting too wet - if this happens, it can be helped back to health by spreading a small amount of sand in the space where it's rotting. Another issue can be browning off in the middle of the plant. If this happens, try pulling out the brown pieces and replace with a healthy piece from the outside of the plant.
