It is gold to reddy-brown in colour which will age to driftwood grey if left to weather. kwila is hard wearing, has good strength, durability and excellent stability. New kwila decks are susceptible to a reddy-brown tannin bleed in the first few months of being laid.

Pine Decking

Pine Decking

Pine decking is a popular choice in New Zealand, valued for its affordability and versatility. Typically treated to enhance its durability, pine decking is a light, pale timber that can weather to a silvery grey if left untreated. It is a cost-effective option that is easy to work with and can be stained or painted to achieve a variety of finishes. However, like most softwoods, it requires regular maintenance to protect against weathering and to prolong its lifespan.

The Groundcover Landscaping team rolling out a lawnmat

A trusted landscaping team that goes beyond just delivering a service

At Groundcover Landscaping, we’re a team that brings a genuine passion for customer service and quality to every project, from inception to completion.

We understand the frustration of working with companies that under-deliver or over-promise. That's why we pride ourselves on being good people who do great work.

After working in several landscaping firms in Waikato and overseas, we noticed a gap in the local market.

There was a lack of landscaping companies that genuinely cared for their customers' needs, delivered top-tier work, and kept their promises.

We knew there had to be a better way, so we decided to create it.
